| If the wine matters, so does the glass. Which stems do you reach for when you open a special bottle of wine? Chances are, they're crystal, hand made and extremely fragile. Beautiful, graceful, durable stems do exist. They are made by hand by Bottega del Vino Crystal, of Verona, Italy, and Candid Wines distributes them in Illinois. Bottega del Vino Crystal founder Severino Barzan was just like you, a wine lover who grew tired of broken glasses. He was running one of Italy's cult restaurants when he decided he could no longer afford to pour his magnificent wines into fragile stems. Severino set out to build a better mousetrap. Using lead free crystal found in fabulously precise telescopes, he conceived a line of hand made, mouth blown stemware that is as durable as it is attractive. Plus, his stems are dishwasher safe. Your wines are made to age gracefully for decades, shouldn't your stemware do the same? |
